Architecture and Landscape Renderings
Description | Until 3D computer modeling became common, most architectural renderings were created by hand. There are still many architectural illustrators who create renderings entirely by hand. ACM uses a combination of hand and computer generated line work to created full hand drawn and colored renderings. Common mediums for handarchitectural renderings include: Watercolor, Markers, Color Pencil, Pen and Ink, Acrylics. Craig S. Church has been drawing, sketching and painting since the age of ten. He has attended many art courses and curriculums in his years but is primarily self taught by a drive to express visions seen and thoughts created in his head. Sometimes there just isn't a camera available to capture an idea. He has served as an architectural illustrator with the Cavendish Partnership in Vermont and has served as a freelance illustrator since 1990. Mediums include ink, pencil, watercolor, gauche, acrylic, oils, colored pencil, clay, pastels, airbrush, photoshop, sketch-up and other materials. Many hand renderings are developed from computer constructed drawings and then enhanced through the patina of hand drawing techniques. There are very few commercial media artists in the Fulton-Montgomery County area, almost none. It may be because people simply do not have an interest or if there is not enough of an economy to support such venues. Most of the art establishments are those dedicated to teaching children or the martial arts. Most are located in Albany and Saratoga counties. Saratoga County has many independently listed artists involved with jewelry, painting and graphic design as their specialties for the tourist market but not many are locally based to support the A/E market or for advertising. None that are any good to say the least. Count on us to be there when you need us. |
